Supporting People with ADHD

boOsT Your Life!

An Intensive Solution-Focused Online Workshop for Parents of Teens with ADHD

Transform your life with this boOsT online workshop hosted by Gwen Cantwell, Consultant Occupational Therapist of boOsT Occupational Therapy Ireland.

This “workshop” is NOT a webinar, it is a workshop in its true meaning of “a meeting at which a group of people engage in intensive discussion and activity on a particular subject” (Oxford Dictionary). This is an Occupational Therapy facilitated small group coaching to make real functional changes in your life and in parenting your teen with ADHD. This is a solution-focused, collaborative, interactive experience using the latest online tools/technology to enhance your learning, bring theory into practice in your daily life and boOsT real functional, practical change in your life.

The aim for this workshop is to help you realise solutions to your current daily challenges as a parent of a teen with ADHD. It will be tailored specifically to your needs and identified goals. Numbers are limited on the workshop to make this an impactful experience. You will be an active participant and we will also work in smaller groups to personally connect our experiences and share our learning. This workshop aims to guide you to make small changes to make a real difference to you, for you to put what you learn into practice, and for a real, tangible, functional difference in your life, to boOsT your life!

You’ll walk away with:

  • A change in your understanding of ADHD and how it impacts your teen and your family.

  • Practical tools that you CAN use, for boosting how you relate to loved ones with ADHD.

  • Topics and strategies covered may include executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory, social, behavioural and parenting strategies and more. (These are dependent on the needs of the group.)

  • Insights from an expert Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience who also has personal lived-experience as a parent of a child with ADHD.

  • A new set of connections to people with a shared experience.  We use the latest online tools to make it easy for you to network in a safe space.

  • A willingness to expand your understanding and perspective of ADHD.

  • A readiness to make real changes to DO something different to make a change for you and your family.

  • Happy to actively participate, contribute and share your voice and be in a small group where you talk, listen and guide each other, mentored by the workshop facilitator.
